Meet Reina

Reina is a 100-year-old mermaid that lives right here in Ridgefield in Great Pond. Her dad is from the Pacific Ocean, and her mom is from the Caribbean Sea. She has a cousin named Leslie who is human and looks just like her. Reina loves to snack on the plants at the bottom of the pond, and she's made friends with the yellow-tail bass there. And yes, she is friends with Ariel, and sometimes when she visits they use their shellphones to order Bareburger food delivery to the pond – isn’t that neat?

Mermaids Love Parties…

…and veggie burgers, and pizza. If you’d like Reina to come to your party, she’ll be delighted to shell-abrate with you. She’ll put on her prettiest pearls, bring little treats to share, and take shellfies. Sitting and chatting with humans is one of her favorite pastimes.

If you’d like to swim with Reina, she’ll be over the moon! Swimming is what she does best.

  • Reina was a magical highlight during our Summerfest celebration at Lounsbury House! Friendly, interactive, and captivating storytelling — she enchanted our guests with bubbles and charm, adding a whimsical flair that truly made the day special for hundreds of children and their families.

  • Having Reina the Ridgefield Mermaid at the Farmers Market was a real highlight. She brought awe and wonder to young and old alike. Her radiant energy is contagious and we can’t wait to have her back!

  • The Ridgefield Mermaid came to my daughter’s third birthday and was absolutely magical! Reina was warm, present, and so attentive to every child, making each one feel special. The kids were completely captivated by her—she made the day truly unforgettable. Also, she was very easy to work with via email and text which made the adult job of coordinating logistics a breeze.
